Emily Wheatcroft-Snape is a recording and mix engineer from Tāmaki Makaurau. Emily studied a Bachelor of Audio Engineering and Music Production at the Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand before working at Roundhead Studios for 3 years. Emily now works freelance out of Parachute Studios, while working for-hire at Roundhead Studios, Parachute Studios, and Big Fan Studios.

 

In 2022 Emily  worked as an Audio Tutor at the MAINZ teaching Core Audio Practice and Applied Audio Engineering. In 2022 Emily launched the Record Enable initiative which works to increase the visibility, competency, and confidence of women and non-binary people working within New Zealand studio environments. Additionally, Emily has her own music project 'Em' which she uses as a creative outlet and to experiment with new production ideas and techniques.


Recent artists Emily has worked with include Louisa Nicklin, Fazerdaze, Te Kaahu, Arahi, and Karl Steven. Emily has worked with local and international producers including Malay, Tom Healy, Simon Gooding, Andrew Scheps, David Wrench, and Sylvia Massey.
